#NickBee has often been heralded as a contemporary architect for the neurofunk subgenre and when looking at the music he’s released throughout his career in drum & bass it's clear to see why. With its cutting, animalistic basslines and maintained chaos his sounds have infiltrated some of the genre’s biggest labels within its underground scene and one of these imprints has been #RamRecord’s sister-label #Program.
This is where he’s due to drop his next release, the double-sided single ‘#TensionPulse’ and ‘#Monumental’ featuring likeminded duo #MeanTeeth, who have just as much of a reputation as their innovative counterpart. Whilst ‘#TensionPulse’ platforms the melodies which #NickBee conjures delicately his jagged drum work also cuts through. On the reverse, ‘#Monumental’ delivers sweeping layers of bass, animatronic vocals and the crunching segments Mean Teeth have added into the mix. With another dynamic team offering music for the label, once again it’s time to get with the #ProgRam.
